T-ball Cubs vs. Astros

 Saturday, March 27, 2010

The day started out bright and early with our first game starting at 8am. The Cubs played the Astros and it was fun! We had a lot of parents helping out in the dugout and on the field, which made the chaos managable. The boys played great and everyone hit the ball to the outfield. Coach Mo did a great job and the kids all love him and are eager to pass out high fives. It was cute to see the boys all excited about their new batting helmets and their jersey numbers. Here are a few pictures of Zachary and a video of him batting. Enjoy!

Happy 2nd Birthday Wyatt!

 Wednesday, March 17, 2010

It was two years ago today that we walked into the hospital to have our sweet little boy. Born on St. Patrick's Day, he truly is our special lucky charm. He was born at 7:30 am and weighed in at 10lbs. 2 oz and was 22 inches long.

We will be celebrating his birthday with family this weekend to the theme of Blues Clues. My best friend Nicki will be helping me with the cake as usual. Pictures will be posted of course.

Wyatt is very loving and you will always find him with a stuffed bear or blanket. You hardly hear him fussing, only when big brother takes a toy away or won't share.

Happy Birthday to my sweet little boy.

The end to Betsy's Ezcema?

 Monday, March 15, 2010

Since being pregnant with Zachary, many of you know my struggles with ezcema on my hands. I am always on the lookout for any lotion or cream that claims to work. I have probably spent more money than I want to know in this quest for ezcema relief. Well I am writing because in 4 1/2 years I have not found anything that actually works. Aveeno made some awesome lotion a few years ago, but they pulled and revamped it and it never worked the same again.

A few days ago, a made another purchase and within a few days have had a remarkable difference in my hands. I am very excited to see it my new Burt's Bees Hand Salve is going to be my hand salvation. I will keep you posted!

T-Ball

This spring we have signed Zachary up for the 4 & under T-Ball league, which is part of the Georgetown Youth Baseball Association. He is very excited to play especially since Tabor, who goes to school with Zach is on the team too. There are 6 kids on our team and doing very well with fielding and hitting. They have an awesome coach. Go Coach Mo!

Our team was designated the Cubs, which Coach Mo is pleased with. He was worried to get the Red Sox, but it worked out. Our sponsor is Georgetown Pediatric Dentistry, who was kind of enough to lend their help for our uniforms.

Our first game is March 27th! Will post pictures of the games to keep you updated on our future baseball player.

Common Interests

Lately, Elyzabeth has been coerced by her brothers to entertain them with video games. (Like they have to twist her arm hard) It is very cute to see her and her brothers finding common interests and getting along. We find that when the kids get real quiet they are playing video games. Right now the favorite is Luigi's Mansion, which has resulted in Zachary ghost hunting all over the house.

Texas Snowfall

The weather here in Texas keeps you on your toes as well as your allergies. This past week we experienced nice weather and so we took advantage of it by going to the park. Two days later, we are so cold that we get rain, sleet and then snow. Wow! Although mom and dad didn't enjoy the cold, we did enjoy watching the boys play in the snow. Zach is fascinated by eating snow and loves to open his mouth up to the sky and let it fall in. Wyatt is content watching the snow fall from the front porch. So different is their personalities. Elyzabeth enjoyed getting out of school early and a delayed start the following day.

The greatest toys are the cheapest!

 Tuesday, February 9, 2010

We have been very fortunate to be able to acquire a new dyson vacuum. While I am loving this new gadget, our boys loved the boxes. Their imaginations sure took off when they realized they each had a box. Kudos to the packaging guys for this hidden genius. After many hours of climbing in and out of the boxes, the boys were worn out and it made the bedtime routine a little easier that night.
